common ground

A practice series to explore our shared territory through movement and presence, beyond the meaning of words.

Tuesdays

1:830 – 20:30

1170 Vienna

Some things we know before we can say them. Some things won’t move, no matter how much we think about them. Some dynamics in a group are felt long before they are ever named.

Common Ground is a series of guided movement sessions that work with exactly these places where thinking alone can’t reach.

Each session draws on a practice from Social Presencing Theater, a methodology developed by Arawana Hayashi within the Presencing Institute. The work uses simple movement and embodied awareness to sense what is present in you, between you and others, and in the systems you belong to.

#1: unmoved

16.6.2026 | 18:30–20:30

Finding the cracks in what won’t move in you, regardless of how much you think about it.

You know that something needs to move. But it feels stuck.

unmoved is a guided movement session for exactly that: the places in you that are not finding a way to move forward.

#2: before the word

30.6.2026 | 18:30–20:30

Learning to listen to what you already know before the words arrive.

You already know more than you’re saying. The body holds it — in breath, in posture, in the pause before you speak.

before the word is a guided movement session in listening: not to others, but to the knowing that lives underneath language.

#3: collective tide

14.7.2026 | 18:30–20:30

Making visible the dynamics of a group or system you belong to.

Every group has a shape. Most of the time, we can’t see it.

collective tide is a guided movement session for the dynamics that move between people — in a team, a family, a community — felt long before they are ever named.

You can join one session or all three. Each one stands on its own.

You might find yourself here if:

  • You have been circling the same situation for a while — thinking about it, talking about it — and something still hasn’t shifted.
  • You sense there is more information available than what your mind is giving you.
  • You are going through a transition and can’t quite see where you are yet.
  • You work with people — as a coach, therapist, facilitator, or leader — and want to experience this kind of work from the inside.
  • You are simply curious about what it means to listen to your body, and this feels like a manageable place to start.

No prior experience with movement or somatic work required.
Wear comfortable clothes that you can move in.
